Duncraig

The Duncraig bathroom renovation was the perfect opportunity to refresh a dated space, starting with a colour palette that was in need of an update. The first major change was removing the glass block window and replacing it with a clear glazed window, allowing for better light filtration and brightening up the space.

A layout change was implemented to maximise functionality and create a statement in the room. The new configuration accommodates a large freestanding bath, a spacious walk-in shower, and a vanity offering ample storage. The use of textured feature tiles along the walls adds visual interest and elongates the space, while the reeded texture on the shower screen further enhances the room’s design continuity.

The colour palette was carefully selected, with darker tiles paired with a bright white feature tile to create a bold contrast. This dynamic pairing runs the length of the shower and bath wall, drawing the eye and contributing to the room’s striking aesthetic. A beautiful fluted curved shower screen ties seamlessly into the panelling on the vanity cabinetry and the feature tile, creating a cohesive design throughout the space.

The addition of the largest freestanding bath possible, complemented by a floor-mounted spout as the focal point of the room, creates a luxurious, spa-like feel. Brushed nickel tapware was chosen to complement the rest of the room, providing a sophisticated and timeless finish.
